January 2015, Douglas Welch took the position of General Resource Manager, previously serving as the General Manager of the Chowchilla Water District since 1993. Mr. Welch holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Natural Resource Planning from Humboldt State University of Arcata, California. Following graduation in 1976, Mr. Welch worked for the Soil Conservation Service for four years and then the Imperial Irrigation District for 12 years. Mr. Welch also currently serves as the General Manager of the Madera-Chowchilla Water & Power Authority which operates the Madera Canal and four hydroelectric power plants located on the Madera Canal.
Brandon Tomlinson was promoted to Acting General Manager in March 2015, previously serving as the Assistant General Manager of the Chowchilla Water District since 2007. Mr. Tomlinson holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Plant Science from Fresno State University of Fresno, California. Mr. Tomlinson started his career with the District in 1994. He has held the positions of Ditchtender, Maintenance, and Superintendent of Operations and Maintenance prior to his promotion to Assistant General Manager.
